Asked Questions

They are CPD-accredited online courses designed to help learners develop knowledge relevant to workplace responsibilities. Available subjects may include Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, COSHH Awareness, Infection Control, GDPR and Data Protection, Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and other role-relevant topics.

Small businesses, charities, education providers, recruitment agencies and other organisations may purchase training for their staff, workers or volunteers. Individuals may also purchase eligible courses for themselves.

Yes. Recommended combinations are available for cleaning, childcare, hospitality, retail, care and support, security, warehousing and removals, recruitment, property and facilities, charity and education organisations. The courses can still be adjusted to suit the learner's role.

Yes. The courses offered through this compliance-training service are CPD accredited. Successful learners can receive a completion certificate for each course completed, subject to the course requirements.

Individual courses start from £35 per learner. A four-course industry package costs £99 per learner. Bespoke programmes, larger combinations and group arrangements are priced individually.

No. Each purchase is a one-off payment for the agreed access period. There is no annual contract and no automatic renewal. Renewal, extension or reactivation is optional and must be requested and agreed separately.

Youstar Connect discusses the learner's role and the organisation's requirements before activation. The selected course or courses, learner names, activation date and access-expiry date are confirmed in writing.

Yes. The advertised combinations are recommendations. A business may request different courses where they better match the employee's or volunteer's role, provided the selected courses are available.

The access period begins when the learner account is activated, not when the training is first discussed. The customer approves the activation arrangements before access is provided.

The minimum access period is 14 days for one assigned course, 30 days for two assigned courses and 60 days for a four-course package. Bespoke or larger programmes are agreed individually.

Yes. A longer period may be agreed in writing before activation where the business has an operational need and sufficient learning-platform access remains available.

The learning platform may display and permit access to the wider CPD-accredited course library while the account is active. This is a complimentary benefit. The purchased package still covers the assigned courses recorded in the training plan.

Yes. Learners may complete additional available courses at no extra cost while their account remains active. They should complete the assigned courses first. Additional courses do not extend the agreed access-expiry date.

Normally, no. Access remains available until the agreed expiry date even if the assigned courses are completed early. A purchasing business may ask for earlier suspension in writing.

A completion certificate is available when the relevant course requirements are successfully met. The learner or employer should download and retain certificates before the agreed access period ends. Where available, Youstar Connect may also download and forward a copy.

No. Payment provides access to the purchased training but does not guarantee successful completion, assessment results or acceptance by an employer, regulator, local authority or another third party.

No. Online courses alone do not replace regulated qualifications, employer competency checks or required practical or role-specific training. Practical task-specific instruction may also be required.

Not always. The online course supports knowledge and understanding, but an employer may still need to provide practical, task-specific instruction, assess competence and address the actual loads, equipment and working environment.

No. The security courses do not replace SIA licensing, regulated qualifications, employer competency checks or required practical or role-specific training.

No. Online compliance courses do not replace regulated paediatric first aid, regulated qualifications or any practical or role-specific training required for a childcare role.

Youstar Connect offers a 14-day pre-activation cancellation period for eligible online-course purchases. A full change-of-mind refund will normally be available where a valid request is received within 14 days of purchase and no learner account has been activated.

Yes. The customer may request immediate activation. Before access begins, the customer must expressly request early activation and acknowledge the effect on the change-of-mind cancellation arrangement.

A change-of-mind refund will normally be unavailable once a learner account has been activated and digital access has begun. This does not remove rights where access is faulty, unavailable or materially different from its description.

No refund is normally provided because a learner did not start or complete within the agreed access period. The learner should request an extension before the expiry date if additional time is needed.

Extensions are not automatic. One complimentary extension of up to seven calendar days may be granted where requested before expiry. A longer extension may be agreed according to the circumstances, course requirements and remaining platform availability. Any fee will be explained and agreed first.

Verified learning-platform or Youstar Connect technical problems will normally be addressed by restoring the access time lost without charge. Customers should report the problem promptly and provide enough information for it to be investigated.

Before activation, a business may normally substitute another eligible learner without charge. After a named learner's account has been activated, the licence may not be transferable or reusable.

Team discounts may be available depending on the number of learners, selected courses and activation arrangements. Contact Youstar Connect for a written quotation before purchase.

Youstar Connect will seek to provide restored access, an equivalent alternative, a transfer or an appropriate refund for the affected part, taking account of training already completed and applicable legal rights.

Contact Youstar Connect with the business name, learner numbers, roles and preferred courses. The training plan, price, activation date and access period will be confirmed before the learner accounts are activated.

Refund / cancellation terms

For online courses and packages: a 14-day pre-activation cancellation period normally allows a full change-of-mind refund if no learner account has been activated. Access periods start on activation (minimum 14 days for one course, 30 days for two, 60 days for a four-course package). After activation, change-of-mind refunds are not normally available; extensions are not automatic (one complimentary extension of up to seven calendar days may be granted if requested before expiry).
